COURSE DESCRIPTION
While industries across the board have adopted Agile development tools and techniques to continuously innovate and think out of the box, the people managing these agile environments may not yet be ‘agile’ or worse be resistant. The goal of this course is to train leaders and managers who guide the agile delivery process, in ‘scaling up’ their own mindset and internal operating system as leaders to foster the change they want to see.
Through a combination of leadership theories, communication strategies, persuasion principles, teamwork models, motivation factors and the knowledge of human behavior patterns, students will learn the makings of an agile leader through the transition from a ‘Command and Control’ mindset, to one of ‘Inspect and Adapt’. Embedded in the rudimentary Agile framework, the course will traverse through Lean pillars, the conditions for empirical process control and the Lean startup approach en route to envisaging the qualities of an Agile leader.
Learning Objectives:
- History of Leadership thinking, up to the distributed leadership framework, and transformative leadership.
- Acquiring the the knowledge Agile technique for brainstorming ideas, problems and solutions, servant leadership.
- Ability to create and function in self-managed and customer-focused multidisciplinary teams
- Adopt metrics for customer satisfaction, employee engagement and operational performance in delivery process
- Understand the four leadership styles in the agile context

DESCRIPTION DU COURS
Les industries ont adopté des outils et des techniques de développement agiles pour innover en continu et sortir des sentiers battus, mais les personnes qui gèrent ces environnements agiles ne sont peut-être pas encore “Agile” ou, pire, résistantes. L’objectif de ce cours est de former les leaders et les managers qui pilotent le processus d’agile delivery, à “scaling up” leur propre état d’esprit et leur système de fonctionnement interne en tant que leaders pour qu’ils soient ouverts au changement.
En combinant les théories du leadership, les stratégies de communication, les principes de persuasion, les modèles de travail d’équipe, les facteurs de motivation et la connaissance des modèles de comportement humain, les étudiants apprendront à devenir un leader agile en passant d’un état d’esprit “Command and Control” à un état d’esprit “Inspect and Adapt”. Intégrée dans le cadre rudimentaire de Agile framework, la formation passera par les piliers Lean, les conditions du contrôle empirique des processus et l’approche Lean Startup, afin d’envisager les qualités d’un leader Agile.

- Acquérir la technique Agile pour le brainstorming d’idées, de problèmes et de solutions, le leadership servant.
- Capacité à créer et à fonctionner au sein d’équipes multidisciplinaires autogérées et orientées vers le client.
- Adopter des mesures de la satisfaction du client, de l’engagement des employés et de la performance opérationnelle dans le processus de livraison
- Comprendre les quatre styles de leadership dans le contexte agile
