Digital technology is fundamentally transforming how industries and organisations operate. Over the years, it has revolutionised our world and daily lives, inventing game-changing tools and putting useful information at our fingertips. The main aim of this program, which began in 2003 with the SPE series from 10-60, is to enable trainees to understand, communicate and adapt to a digital world using the English language. These modules have been created for professionals working in the tech, management and communication industry, to give them an accessible method to improve upon their English language skills pertinent to their field. The knowledge and expertise taught in this program are thus intended to be constructed upon the prior knowledge of trainees. The program captures themes such as IT support, networks, programming, emerging technologies impacting the digital world, and effective communication and presentation skills at the workplace.
Over 19 years of teaching this program, we have offered a wide range of courses meant to furnish trainees with fundamental professional vocabulary and concepts in English. The latest additions to these courses are digital transformation, enterprise strategy, and risk management, which we began teaching in 2021. At the end of this program, trainees will be exposed to foundational knowledge in corporate IT and information systems; operating systems and business apps; networks and end-user support; corporate IT security; and big data architecture. Trainees will also sharpen their professional communication skills and learn how to use advanced technologies to develop digital solutions to transform organisations.
