3-Day Intensive Course for Aspiring Scrum Masters & Agile Facilitators

Day 1: Agile Foundations & Scrum Framework

Understand the history, mindset, and structure of Agile and Scrum. Learn the roles, ceremonies, and artifacts that define successful Scrum teams.

Day 2: The Scrum Master in Action — Facilitation, Coaching & Obstacles
Explore the Scrum Master’s daily responsibilities, from enabling flow to removing blockers. Learn how to coach teams, protect ceremonies, and model Agile values.

Day 3: Scaling Impact — Metrics, Maturity & Organizational Agility
Develop the skills to track progress, foster continuous improvement, and support Agile maturity across teams and stakeholders.

Course Overview

Scrum Masters are more than just meeting facilitators — they’re catalysts for change, clarity, and collaboration. This course equips future Scrum Masters with the mindset, tools, and facilitation skills to guide teams toward high performance.

You’ll learn how to apply Agile values in practice, lead effective Scrum events, remove impediments, and nurture a culture of continuous improvement.

Day 1 — Agile Foundations & Scrum Framework

  • Agile Manifesto and values

  • Scrum theory: empiricism, transparency, inspection, adaptation

  • Scrum roles: SM, PO, Developers

  • Scrum artifacts: Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Increment

  • Scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective

  • Workshop: Simulate a Sprint and inspect artifacts and ceremonies

Day 2 — The Scrum Master in Action: Facilitation, Coaching & Obstacles

  • The servant leader mindset

  • Facilitation techniques for planning, retros, and dailies

  • Coaching vs. directing: creating space for team ownership

  • Removing impediments: systems thinking and root cause

  • Conflict resolution and navigating team dysfunctions

  • Workshop: Roleplay common Scrum team scenarios

Tools: Coaching cards, Liberating Structures, RCA tools
Focus: Leadership • Coaching • Problem Solving

Day 3 — Scaling Impact: Metrics, Maturity & Organizational Agility

  • Agile maturity models and team self-assessment

  • Sprint metrics: velocity, burndown, lead time

  • Radiating information: boards, dashboards, and flow metrics

  • Creating feedback loops with PO, stakeholders, and leadership

  • Supporting scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus – intro only)

  • Workshop: Build a team growth plan and SM action strategy

Tools: Agile health checks, retrospection boards, reporting dashboards
Focus: Continuous Improvement • Metrics • Influence
