Your journey into the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), from foundation to flow:

Day 1: SAFe Principles, Roles & Scaled Agility Foundations
Get grounded in the Lean-Agile mindset and SAFe core values. Understand key roles, events, and artifacts across Team, Program, and Portfolio levels.

Day 2: Planning & Executing with Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
Dive into Program Increment (PI) planning, team-of-teams alignment, and how Agile Release Trains deliver value through synchronized iteration and cadence.

Day 3: Lean Portfolio Management & Enterprise Agility
Explore Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), value streams, and how to align strategy with execution across business units. Wrap up with certification readiness (optional).

The Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) is the world’s leading system for scaling Agile across enterprises — but without clear training, it can feel overwhelming. This course cuts through the complexity and gives you a hands-on, simplified view of how SAFe works in practice.

Day 1 — SAFe Principles, Roles & Scaled Agility Foundations

  • Core values of SAFe: alignment, transparency, respect, execution

  • SAFe House of Lean and the Agile Manifesto

  • Overview of roles: RTE, Product Manager, System Architect, etc.

  • Essential SAFe configuration: Team and Program layers

  • Team-level Agile and Scrum within SAFe

  • Workshop: Map your current org to the SAFe roles & layers

Tools: SAFe Big Picture, Miro, SAFe glossary cards
Focus: Foundations • Role Clarity • Scaled Mindset

Day 2 — Planning & Executing with Agile Release Trains

  • What is an Agile Release Train (ART)?

  • Program Increment (PI) planning: timeline, breakout sessions, confidence vote

  • Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync, and inspect & adapt

  • Managing dependencies and cross-team coordination

  • DevOps and Continuous Delivery Pipeline (CDP)

  • Workshop: Simulate a mini PI Planning session

Tools: Mural, Jira Align, SAFe PI board templates
Focus: Synchronization • Planning • Value Delivery

Day 3 — Lean Portfolio Management & Enterprise Agility

  • Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) and funding models

  • Mapping value streams and aligning with OKRs

  • Measuring flow: lead time, throughput, WIP

  • Governance without bureaucracy: Guardrails, Lean Budgets

  • SAFe transformation roadmap and organizational change

  • Optional: SAFe Agilist/Practitioner exam prep overview
